As of January 1st, 2010 the Near North elementary teachers saw an increase in their benefits levy. The benefit’s committee has met and is making plans to update the members by having meetings in each of the three areas this spring. The committee is waiting for updated information from the Board so that our members will have a better understanding of the cost of their plan, and can make an informed decision about the future of the plan and the cost to each member. Please plan on attending.

A Reminder
If you are currently on medication that is being distributed on a monthly basis, and have been on that medication for six months or more, please contact Great West Life and request a change to a three month prescription. A six month trial of a drug is required to ensure the drug is the working for you. After that time it becomes a maintenance drug and should be prescribed on the usual three month plan. This makes your prescription a little more time manageable and allows for savings to our overall plan.
